Key Pieces for a Seamless Transition from Summer to Fall

Key Pieces for a Seamless Transition from Summer to Fall

Key Pieces for a Seamless Transition from Summer to Fall
Our team at AmorSui can't believe summer is almost ending. We have been working hard on our crowdfunding campaign for these past few months, and it's hard to believe that fall is just around the corner. For those of you in the lab who don't have time to put away the summer clothes (just like us) and break out the boots and coats just yet, our team has put together some examples of how to layer summer pieces for a transition into fall without breaking a sweat. Pick one from each category (either a dress or a pant) and you are ready to go!

Summer Dresses

Stripe Lace A-line Dress, Eliza J, $178 (40% off at Nordstrom)
Color Block Texture Knit Fit and Flare Dress in Navy/Ivory/Blush, Eliza J, $148
The Marie Curie Dress fitted dress in Navy, Amorsui, $180

Summer dresses transition well if you layer them with tights or leggings. Pick your favorite dress in a fitted, A-line, shift, or fit-and-flare style. If your days are humid, these dresses will be useful for their light weight fabrics.

Top Layers

Stitch Curve Hem Cardigan in Grey Cloudy Heather, BP, $49
Ava Double Breasted Jacket in Black, TOPSHOP, $75
Gigi Fitted Denium Western Shirt in Light Denim, TOPSHOP, $58

For those cold days outside, or in the lab or classroom, layer a sweater under your sleeveless dress. For a more casual look, throw on a denim shirt over the dress. Change it up for a more polished look by opting for a cardigan or blazer instead.

Pants

The Wonder Stretch Straight Leg Pants in Black Onyx, NIC + ZOE, $102.40 - $128 (up to 20% off at Nordstrom)
The Rosalind Franklin Pants in Navy, Amorsui, $150
High Waist Wide Leg Pants in Black, HALOGEN, $89
Control Top Leggings, Commando, $72

Lightweight pants are great for all seasons. We have selected stretchy pants with a professional look, including our very own Rosalind Franklin pants. You are sure to be comfortable, not too hot and not too cold during this transition of seasons.

Belts

Reversible Scalloped Belt in Black/Shimmerly gold, Kate Spade New York, $58
Woodland Stitched Leather Belt in Black, ELISE M, $63
Bow Skinny Patent Leather Belt in Picnic Red, Kate Spade New York, $58
Gingham Leather Belt in Rich Navy, Kate Spade New York, $58
Charlize Double Wrap Belt in Capp, ELISE M, $45

Tying a belt at your waist is a great way to accentuate your waist in any outfit. Pick a belt out of your closet and show the world your awesome shape. If you don't have one, check out the 2-pack faux leather belts in black and cognac from BP, two for only $25.

Shoes

Penny Boot in Whiskey, SAM EDELMAN, $149.90
Replay Bootie in Grey Suede, STEVE MADDEN, $109.95
Luna Pointy Toe Flat in Red Suede, CASLON, $89.95
Leather Sneaker in Black Leather, KEDS For Kate Spade New York, $90

Start off your seasonal transition with stable flats and leather sneakers. When you are ready to get in the feel of pumpkin spice and chai lattes, swap in your ankle and riding boots to step all over the leaves.

Scarves

Lightweight Cross Dyed Scarf, Treasure and Bond, $39
Stripe Blanket Scarf, Madewell, $55
Cashmere Scarf in Pink Rosecloud Heather, HALOGEN, $149
Tissue Print Wool & Cashmere Wrap Scarf in Pink Fantasy Brushstrokes, Nordstrom, $99

What is fall without a goof scarf? They are the ultimate garment to help you brave the transition to colder weather. Use lightweight scarves to keep you warm while not feeling too hot during early fall, and opt in for blanket scarves as the weather gets colder.

Post your #labpoweroutfit to show us what combination you came up with to rock your day at the bench on Instagram @Amorsuiclothing!

Meet the Founder & CEO - Beau Wangtrakuldee

Beau Wangtrakuldee, former PhD chemist, was burned in a chemical spill during an experiment to create a new anticancer drug. Although she was wearing proper PPE, the toxic chemical burned right through her lab coat onto her leg. After she was unable to find proper-functioning PPE in women's sizes, Beau took the initiative to found AmorSui, to ensure that no one has to put their life on the line in ill-fitting, unprotective, and improper-working PPE.
